Mobile Game

Building on the momentum of Champions of Change—a RISE campaign honoring trailblazers in the fight for racial equality and social justice—OBE set out to expand the organization’s impact with a digital experience that could reach youth beyond live fan activations. In partnership with our sister agency Think True and tech partner Demodern, we developed Together We Rise, a browser-based endless soaring game that is both engaging and meaningful, while advancing RISE’s mission of racial equality through sports.

At the center of the experience is Spark, a custom-designed mascot inspired by the RISE torch, who guides players through six sports-themed levels filled with lights to collect, discriminatory “clouds” to overcome, and athlete cards to collect. Each athlete card serves as a power-up within the game, giving Spark a boost on his mission. Progression is tied to quiz challenges that test players on six core social skills—including teamwork, perspective-taking, and problem solving—that not only propel gameplay but also empower users to rise against discrimination in real life.

OBE led the project from strategy and storytelling through design, content creation, and deployment, ensuring a seamless launch across national sporting events. With its combination of dynamic gameplay, authentic athlete voices, and purposeful education, Together We Rise delivered an engaging, accessible platform that blended entertainment with impact—sparking awareness.
