Connect 2021

Building on our success in 2020, we helped MuleSoft pull off a multi-dimensional event for their 2021 CONNECT virtual conference. This time, we honed in on elevating the keynote by creating a memorable XR-powered experience. No longer restricted by a simple green screen setup or Zoom background, speakers presented to the at-home audience from custom-built XR environments. But not everything we executed was virtual.

Following all necessary health and safety protocols, we also built a custom setup in-studio with multiple camera angles and set designs where MuleSoft’s CEO welcomed attendees, interviewed guests, and interacted with an on-site DJ. We then broadcasted three live keynotes to three regional audiences (AMER, ANZ, EMEA) in an “around the sun” format—all within 24 hours. To assist each regional audience, we incorporated live translators to voiceover the keynotes in multiple languages for accessibility. Further, each regional CONNECT included a unique website with pre-recorded content, networking opportunities for attendees to interact with MuleSoft staff or fellow attendees, and live engagement features.
