The pathway for girls in NFL Flag football in the U.K. just reached an important new milestone.
The New York Jets officially launched Jets Flag Elite London alongside the fourth season of the Jets NFL Girls Flag League, strengthening a structured progression from grassroots participation to elite development for young female athletes.
Together, the league and the new Flag Elite program represent more than seasonal programming. They form a connected pathway designed to increase access, elevate performance, and create meaningful opportunities for girls to grow within the sport.

A Dual Launch. A Defining Moment.
Held at Ealing Trailfinders, the dual launch introduced:
- The return of the Jets NFL Girls Flag League, now in its fourth year
- Jets Flag Elite London, the first all-girls international extension of the Jets’ U.S.-based Flag Elite program
320 girls from 32 schools across London will compete this season, a powerful signal of the sport’s rapid growth.
Backed by a $10,000 grant from the Jets and supported with uniforms, equipment, and elite coaching, the new Flag Elite London team will train locally before traveling to the U.S. this summer to compete alongside Jets Flag Elite teams from New York and New Jersey.
For athletes progressing through the Jets NFL Girls Flag League, Flag Elite London represents the next step. It transforms participation into aspiration and creates a visible route to higher-level development.
The initiative reflects a multi-year commitment by the Jets under the NFL’s Global Markets Program and reinforces the franchise’s dedication to building a sustainable girls’ flag football pathway in the U.K and Ireland.
